Two Explosive Devices Discovered in Connection with Narcotics Cases

On May 31, 2019, agents from the Pennsylvania State Patrol discovered pyrotechnic devices and suspected synthetic cannabis in a backpack in a Lancaster area residence. The State Police Hazardous Device and Explosives Section identified the explosive as commercial fireworks and an M-class explosive device wrapped in red electrical tape to give it the appearance of dynamite. The devices were removed from the scene and destroyed by State Police.
